Hassan leads the Climate and Energy Analysis activity of Aramco Research Center in Detroit, MI, in support of the corporate climate strategy of Saudi Aramco. Before joining Aramco, he developed regulatory mechanisms and platforms for state regulators in the United States for crude oil carbon intensity regulations. He is a fellow from Stanford University who built crude production GHG models that are used for crude oil climate impact assessment. He also has extensive experience at Shell assessing the GHG emissions of oil and gas developments and shaping the CO2 strategy. He holds a PhD in Engineering Science from Oxford University.
